Matthew Chervenak
Chief Executive Officer

Matthew founded GBI in Shanghai in 2002. His areas of focus include strategy development, deal sourcing, due diligence, drug discovery, outsourcing, and industry data. He previously worked at Sapient Corporation in New York City, NYU Medical Center, and the National Institutes of Health. Matthew is the Chairman of American Chamber of Commerce - Shanghai Healthcare Committee.

Jonathan Zifferblatt, MD, MBA, MPH
Managing Director

Jon Joined GBI in early 2008. His areas of focus include due diligence, market assessments, physician practice and prescribing patterns, and healthcare systems and delivery. He has previous experience in management roles in the pharmaceutical and banking industries and is a US and PRC licensed physician. Jon is the Vice-chair of American Chamber of Commerce - Shanghai Healthcare Committee.

Our team of consultants and analysts is a mix of local and foreign professionals, many of whom possess PHD, MD and MBA degrees. Past working experiences include roles within the life science, pharmaceutical, medical, and financial indutries. Our consultants and analysts, operating at the center of inormation integration within the GBI, bring to bear a wide perspective of industry into their client work.

Our engineering team develops the infrastructure and platform to collect, integrate, and deliver information ot our clients. With deep expertise in the tools and application of information technology, and a forward thinking web-based mindset, engineers play a central role at GBI.
